The Centre for the Conservation of Natural and Cultural Heritage was founded with the purpose of developing alternative possibilities of the coexistence of the human with nature and of the environmentally-friendly presence in nature. The principal goal is sustainable development of non-invasive exploitation of nature.

What are we going to do?

In the five days, we will get acquainted with the surroundings of valley Loška dolina with emphasis on getting to know its natural and cultural heritage.

Bear monitoring is a unique experience, however there is no guarantee in nature that our observations and tracking will be successful.
We observe bears from cosy and safe observation posts at feeding points. We will set out to an observation post late in the afternoon or early in the morning, accompanied by an experienced guide, with an all-terrain vehicle. In addition to observing bears, we will also get to know the bear’s habitat and visit a non-inhabited bear lair. You can also decide to spend the whole night observing, whereby you will be able to see also other forest animals (deer, wild boar, fox, or even badger).
Within the frame of holidays we also offer visits to the remains of the cultural heritage and local ethnological sites. We can also see the remains of pre-historic forts, Claustra Alpium Iuliarum (the system of the Roman blocking wall), the remains of a medieval division land register, the castle Snežnik, and the ruins of castle Loški grad. We will also take you along the path of fortification system called the Alpine wall or “Vallo Alpino”.
If the weather conditions are right (snow), it is possible to take a panoramic tour of the surroundings on snow sleigh.
